Icon2 Is this a common EF issue?

My roommate and I were riding in my hatch the other day. He was leaning his leg against my passenger side door while I was driving. Then he all of a sudden noticed as he was leaning on my passenger side door, that the seat beat light in the dash would come on. He is a bigger guy so I think he broke something in my door. Because now, every time I hit a bump or brake hard that same light comes on.

Is this a common thing?
Any ideas on how I may be able to fix it?
I've searched the forums and came up with some ideas. But none of their issues were caused by a fat mans leg .

it can be that now the door switch isnt making the right contact. it happens in my ef sedan drivers door. i have to give it a little pull towards me and the light turns off. its annoying since the car's annoying beep sounds each time :/

Loose the fat passengers, it could be pinching a wire on the seatbelt plug causing the seatbelt alarm to go off, also larger people can actually break the recliners on the seats so unless you have shitty seats make up an excuse. I have personally seen two seats break due to large passengers. The seat strips out and falls all the way back and stays there.
This is how the whole "Driving Posted" got started. Fat drivers broke the seats, people who bought the car never fixed it but drive around with the seat fully reclined and one hand on top of the steering wheel. They played it off like they did it on purpose and somehow younger kids thought it was cool and copied it lol
