I have a 1998 acura cl 2.3 coupe with auto trans, my speedometer is stuck at 20mph and sometimes moves when drivin how do I fix this I'm not sure where the vss is on the car or could it be somthin else...please help

 

Its the VSS. Its located directly below your throttle body, on the transmission.

 

Its front wheel drive

 

I was also told by a mechanic that it dosnt have a vss and then a auto parts store said it does so now I'm hella confused

ok so i took the car to a strickley import machanic and they told me that the whole cluster needed to be replaced........should i shoot for that or shall i try slapping a new vss in there....or is there a way to trouble shoot it cuz somtimes it works and most of the time its stuck..the car does have a sound system in it however this may be relivent....no other problems are present no check engine light and nothin comes up on my obd2 scanner

 

also the cruise control still works
