Default K20A2 Fuel Rail Question

A few of you have seen my other posts and questions and some have been very helpful as I perform a K20 swap in a Fiat X1/9. Thank you for the continued help.

I am about to start plumbing the fuel system and have been noodling for a while the fact that the fuel rail has ONE fitting for a fuel hose. Regardless of what I am working on, I am used to any common rail system having TWO hose fittings--supply and return/flange for FPR. What is going on here? Did Honda have some system in which a regulator worked to bleed excess pressure BEFORE the fuel reaches the rail? Did the ECU cycle the fuel pump according to pressure need? I am guessing the former, but the latter is possible.

Thanks ever so,
Jonathan

the FPR is built right into the pump. So as it is holding a single level pressure it circulates back there

It's common for people with higher horsepower setups to make a return line from the fuel rail.

Also, I hope you post your build project here:

They would love to see it. As would I.
