hi i bought a 99 civic ex front sway bar and the ctr front LCA do i need anything else to install the front sway bar? i have end links and d bracket and bushings also. Do i need the ctr/si forks? or i can use my stock forks?

also im using a ex front sway bar which i think is 22mm and i have a blue jdm sway bar that came off the CTR not sure how big it is.. will i have any problem with oversteer? or understeer? i dont wanna crash my car on a on ramp.. sorry if i sound stupid i dont know a lot about this stuff

 

You need the front forks as well.

 

are you using the ex or ctr bar? si/ctr style endlinks won't work on an ex bar.

 

im using ex bar with ex endlinks

 

those won't work. si/ctr arms have a ball joint style endlink.

You can only use the 26mm SI/CTR front sway with the SI/CTR front LCA. I must have missed that detail above. But you need Si/CTR front forks with Si/CTR front LCAs.

 

why'd u get ctr lca?

just go to a junkyard and get the back piece of the ex lca and endlinks and use ur ex bar


whatever lca you use, use its corresponding end-link, fork. SWAY BAR

using CTR lca, ctr forks, si end-links and ex sway bar WONT work cos end-links wont fit on the ex bar.

 

It's a FWD car, you will always have understeer.

 

so what kinda end links i need to install the front sway bar to the ctr LCA's

You can ONLY use the Si/CTR 26mm front sway bar using the Si/CTR front LCAs. In order to use the EX sway bar you NEED EX or LX front LCAs.

 

damn!!! so i need ctr or si swaybar w/endlinks.. **** my life why do i have this damn ex swaybar.. so i can't just switch out the endlinks and use the ex bar?
