hi there, i have a 94 civic with b16a engine, my problem is that from stop, then im accelerating fast and suddenly i needed to slow down, i will relese my foot from the gas pedal, my car would still go forward and slowdown but in un smooth manner as if the car jumps,run,jumps,run.... it will only be smooth when i presss the clutch.
sorry i dont know wat the exact term to use and i cant explain it clearly.... my english is poor.....

usually when the car is accelerating and is about 20 to 40k/hr speed, letting go of gas pedal will roughly slowdown the car, feels like the engine will die but it wont it just hop,go,hop,go..... during fast or high speed, letting go of the gas pedal this does not happen.......

 

Any CEL codes? You may want to check the TPS sensor and its calibration.

TPS = throttle position sensor

It's located on the throttle body and has a 3P connector.

 

guys i will regularly view this post and read your opiniod and i hope someone could help....
i dont know much abt engines and stuff related.... my cars history, it used to have a b16b series engine before i bought it, previous owner sold b16b and puts a b16a to it and then sold it, i did buy because the car is japan version the one with gathers seat inside, brown glass, rear wipers and very fresh in and out., an eg9 i think.... also previously has no a/c unit and power steering.... previos owner use to race it with the b16b engine so they remove those heavy parts... but did return those parts before i bought it......... i have problems with idling but my main concern right now is the one i posted above,,.. pls help
