I was recently looking for a 3" for my turbo build and was referred to kteller

You'll have to supply a universal muffler and weld it though

I haven't planned that far yet ... I'll be running open dp for the time being ...
I'm also in the process of building an H2B with the old H22 from my 'lude, so I have a lot of bits and pieces in the air right now ...

well let me ask this....what cat would you use if you where to pick one i plan on supercharging the lude not sure if that makes a difference in what cat i should use.
just have a shop make one... aspec has good mufflers that dont break the bank. and can find them on ebay too from there shop for like 170 at the most.
p.s. dont hate on ebay its good if you know what your looking for

I haven't even searched it out yet, I figured I would just start searching for brands that make a 3" high flow cat, then I would see who is using them on here and what their impressions are.
That would lead me to different brands, and I would compare them all based on technical information available, specific features [comes with flanges, for example], member impressions, and price.
I'll probably end up welding proper flanges on instead of just welding it in, so that I can replace it easily if I have problems.
So the short answer is I'll research, then I'll do some trial and error ...
Sorry I don't have anything for you right now, I wish I did, cause that would be another piece answered in my puzzle.

If you have plans on running a real EMS and not a piggyback just convert to OBD1 and don't use a cat, less money in the end.
I got the Kteller 3" inch exhaust , no cat or silencer and 3" inlet magnaflow muffler, it's very loud, I guess I didn't feel any gains since I didn't tune it. I guess I'm getting old but I wouldn't want that as a daily driver, hopefully a high flow cat and a couple of silencers would make it sound nice.

Anyone doing 3", consider yourself warned and understand that when everyone says a 3" exhaust is loud, it really is loud.
I think 3"+ is a hazard of boost, if you're not boosted or heavily modified N/A, I don't see the purpose in going bigger than 2.5". I think is what most of the cat-backs for the Prelude out there are.
From what I understand, you can actually loose power/acceleration with an exhaust that's too large because the scavenging effect is reduced which can leave unburnt fuel and heated air in the chamber.

That's surprising to me, does it gain through the entire power band or are there losses in the low end? I would think at low-mid RPMs there would be losses, I would love to see a dyno of a stock H on 3" exhaust.
I'm not being contradictory, I'm interested.

ok i tried to copy and paste it all in here for you to see but if you read the above post you can find it all under the faq sticky thread and go under exhaust. its not bone stock but it just has simple bolt ons
well, dude wasn't stock, but not THAT much more horsepower. and of course, you have to tune

well you should tune no matter what, and the only bolt ons the guy had was a crap dc header witch is like no hp gain. a short ram intake, cam gears that gives you no hp he didnt specify rather or not he advanced them or not so iam guessing they where just installed and he took out the 2ndary butterfly. thats almost stock, stock block, stock head factory intake manifold, factory tb,factory fuel rail and injectors and still made good numbers with a 3inch piping. now if i would not go put 3inch piping on b16 or somthing like that. i wasnt a skeptical at first to but the graph shows he gained 5hp a 24 ft lbs of tq. and thats what iam after is tq. iam hope fully ganna have a jrsc soon so a 3inch should do me good
