Default Converting from OBD0 to OBD1 questions

I am confused!

What all do I need?

I have a 90 DX Hatch with an OBD0 B16A Sir1 and I am swapping it for a complete '94 B18C1 (GSR) swap. It is OBD1 with P72 ECU. I have the correct mounts (hydro trans mount) on the way and the hydro to cable conversion bracket. My concern now is wiring.

I visited Rywire.com and don't know what I am getting into. There are 2 kits that I can get.

The first is an OBD0 to OBD1 conversion package for $189.00:
http://www.rywire.com/catalog/obd0-m...4870bc5978cdea
This package contains the:
- OBD0 to OBD1 ECU Jumper
- OBD0 to OBD1 or OBD2 Distributor Adpater
- Integrated VTEC Subharness (no soldering!)

The second is an OBD0 to OBD1 ECU conversion harness for $104.00:
http://www.rywire.com/catalog/obd0-t...4870bc5978cdea
What you get:
- Detailed Instructions
- Quick Disconnect for easy firewall insertion.
- Color Coordinated for easy installation.
- Full Technical Support

Which do I need? And can someone explain in more detail what I am getting with the package deal? I thought all I needed was a jumper harness for the ecu, now I'm being told I need a 4 wire o2 sensor. Can I just buy some wire and wire it myself without paying almost another $100? Do I need special connectors?

The first one just pick your motor from the pull down menu and it'll have the necessary plugs for a gsr

Ok, thnx for the input. But I'm also looking for an explanation on what im getting. and why that one is better than just the jumper harness.

The difference appears to be the OPTIONAL wiring.
The first link has them both, integrated vtec wiring as well as distributor jumper.
The second one does not have either of those and lists them as option.

For plug-and-play ease, the first link would be the way to go.
If you can handle the distributor and vtec wire on your own, then the second link would be more cost effective.

one is a package, one is an individual harness.
the jumper harness goes inbetween the ecu and cabin harness to put all the wires in the proper places so that you can use a newer ecu
however, extra things were added to the obd1 set-up. 4 wire o2 sensor, vtec. the jumper harness has a subharness with these extra wires, but you have to solder them yourself to the extra plugs.
the package deal simplifies this. the subharness on the jumper harness will have the plugs already attached, with enough wire to reach the proper places. smart thinking actually.

when changing from obd0 to obd1, the distributor wiring changes as well. you can re-pin the distributor plugs yourself, plus add the 2 wires to the dizzy plug. with the package deal, there is a plug that connects these wires already. the package just makes life easy, too easy.

so it's your choice!
