hey guys i wanna ask what head gasket i should use...

i have a b18b1 bottom and b16a head.

iwant to knwo what head gasket i should use for my engine. i was a thread about this and there was a lot of argument. so is tehre anyone that can confirm what to use?

ls head gasket or should i use the b16 vtec head gasket. thanks

 

i would use the b16 cuz of of the head so its going with the shape of the head and it should be fine cuz b-series are capable with each other

 

It honestly doesn't matter because whichever you use, you will have holes that don't like up on the other side.

It is generally recommended to use the LS gasket on LS/VTECs.

I think you want to have the coolant passages unblocked and if the oil passages are slightly blocked it won't matter as much because eventually the oil will get back down to the oil pan. If you get a little higher oil pressure due to this it's not as critical.
