keep the single cam. i did not think much of the zc swap i did. would rather have kept the single cam.

i can understand not having the money for a B16, i didn't for a long time. but i refuse to believe you would rather keep the single cam or a d series motor over the far superior b series. what the hell, let's start up the d versus b series debate again! haha j/k!!

Put a Y8 head on it!

If you either get a VAFC, or a Zdyne conversion ECU to activate the VTEC, you'll be pushing above 130hp easily (with an I/H/E).

I'm going for Zdyne, just gotta save up the money. After VTEC is working, I'll clean up my engine bay a little bit (spray paint & silicone hoses).

But even right now with my Z6/Y8, and my PM6 ('90 Si) ECU, I'm getting a little more torque than my A6 with I/H/E, without the proper fuel maps.....

I think the Y8 is definitely worth it!

ZC, GET THE FREAKIN ZC. I finally got my fuel working semi well, along w/ my boost controller. OMFG, u though it bogged b4

I would say go w/ the mini me in yours. I know you want boost though, so stick on a thicker HG and build the kit for a couple months.

AND SELL ME YER GDAMN STARION....NOW!!!

Y8 head! If you already have the head itll take 2 hours. **** a whole swap if you dont have to.

For the boost thing...youll have no problems with the compression being too high. The y7&y8 blocks are IDENTICAL. Meaning putting the y8 head on the y7 block will result in a y8 motor(same compression and everything). If you wanna know about y8 with boost just IM maddskilzz on here. Pelo saw his car at the track on Friday night, he knows.

See im not sure, but i was told by my mechanic that the sohc zc doesn't have 130 hp, only the dohc does, and i tend to believe him, i'll get my car back tomorrow then im off, i'll let you know if i feel a difference between this sohc zc and my a6, which was only 108. But until then, either one is cool. or do what im doing and just put the vtec head on the zc. you're still selling me that y8 head right

yeah its cool, i don't mind, but i don't think sohc bolts onto dohc, and logical thinking would make me think that putting a sohc on your dohc block would actually hurt performance. But what do i know?
