JDM Single Stage VTEC D15B- VTEC not working
So VTEC y0! isn't working and I'm sorta sad.
I bought the jumper harness from rywire(OBD0-OBD1 with VTEC subharness) and I drove the car around and VTEC isn't kicking in. I go and check my oil and i have enough oil. My solenoid works too. Shouldn't the jumper harness be just plug and play with VTEC working? Or do you have to rewire somestuff on the OBD0 side before the jumper harness? I'm running an Auto P28 ECU
As far as I know, nothing is connected to my Knock sensor(besides the one wire that should be connected). I litteraly just used my old D15b2 engine harness and on the ECU side, I bought the jumper harness. And yes, my car is already MPFI converted.
Please help!

Wire vtec to a switch to manually engage. Wait for pressure to actually build before you fire the solenoid. If it works then your wiring is dumb and broken, If it does not work your solenoid is dumb and broken.

The correct way to check Vtec solenoid is to measure the coil Resistance, with an Ohmmeter.
if you want to make shure the plunger is working, just put +12V on the single wire of the solenoid to hear it click, with the engine off.
Kranked.
Do that.. and then come back when vtec still doesnt work.

I would check the ground between your engine and the body.
clean them off good with sand paper, then put some electric grease.
make shure the ECU is grounded to the body as well.
get a look at the ground on the Thermostat Housing, it's the logical grnd, it must be clean and tight.
for the code, unplug the batterie several minute to reset it, than try it back on.
if code is still there, try a new dizzy, a bad grnd may have caused electrical sparking.
still don't work ?
come back here, will do my best to help out.
