a friend is selling his struts and sleves off of his 97 civic dx hatch and i was wondering if the srtuts will bolt up to my other friends 94 civic ex coupe... any help and comments are appreciated.

 

Yes, they'll fit, but you'll need spacers for the rear shock forks since the LCA bushing is shorter than the '92 - '95 civics.

 

By spacers you mean like between the fork and up against the lca bushing?? Just clarifying before a purchase is made

 

Yes. Most people just use washers.

If he's putting the 92-95 shocks on the 96-00 he'll need spacers/washers.
96-00 shocks to 92-95 will either require the 96-00 shock mount bushings, or shaving the bushing down.

92-95 bushing/fork is wider then 96-00.

 

Its coming from a ek (96-00) going to an eg (92-95)

 

You'll need the bushing or to shave the bushing down.
