some ways to go about depending on what skunks you have (sorry not familiar with them)
either change your '97 lca's to 92-95 civic rear lca's (you may have some camber/toe issues, but not exactly sure)
or
switch out the mounting lower tower on the skunks with 96-00 civic ones (this depends on if you have adjustable ones or not)
or you can just buy ones that are suppose to fit your car
also 92-95 civic and 94-00 integra (minus itr) shocks front and rear are completely interchangible with no other mods needed.

well you really dont have much options. other than what i posted above, you can see if jhp will give you the 96+ versions. bigger shops will tend to take an exchange over a refund any day. ofcoarse if these have not been used or anything like that.
or
you can sell the ones you just got to recoop as much as you can.
or
just keep your car, slap the stuff on, and enjoy...(92-95 civic's rule anyway)
or
see if your brotherinlaw will go down on the price, sell your skunks to then get the correct ones. <<this may work, you can always help him with something later on to say thanks for his price lowering skills
or put them on your car and up the selling price when you sell it
????? in the end it depends on how much you are willing to loose.

Ok, I have a eg and my bro have a ek and we try to swithc it before, and the answer is: 92-00 civic front shocks are interchangable. The different is the rear shocks, 95 rear shocks and go on to 97 civic with spacer, and the 97 civic rear shocks cannot go on to 95.

it will work just add washers in the rear. im using ek apex n1 in both my civics and all i did to make them fit was shave down the bushing on the lca
