Default MP3 utilization in Civic if no radio/cd player is present?

So my car was stolen back in March and the JVC CD player within the car was taken as well. I recovered the car and am currently driving it daily. Here is my question:

I now have the male harness plug that plugged into the JVC player hanging out behind the dash. I'd rather not purchase another CD player for several reasons and would prefer instead placing a Honda block-off in the single-DIN slot, but can I wire a auxiliary jack into the radio harness that will allow me to connect my MP3 player?

Hopefully my question is phrased correctly and my problem is easy to understand. Hope an efficient and cost-effective option is available.

Thank you ahead of time for suggestions and shared experiences.

No, you'll need a radio unless your mp3 player has a four channel amp built in so you can run all four speakers. You could buy a small four channel amp or two if you like front staging only and run your player through it, however it's cheaper and easier to get another cheap radio with usb or aux in.
