Default 89dx obd1 zc swap

i have an 89 dx and want to put a 92-95 zc i am getting it complete and will have the engine harness and ecu with the zc and i was wondering if i could use the harness it comes with and a obd1 jumper or can i just not use a jumper, if i didnt use a jumper what else would i need?

i can find alot of stuff on mpfi swap with obd 0 harness but not a complete obd1 engine swap.need to kno if the cabin harness is different and such?

SOHC ZC or DOHC ZC? - in any case, you need to use the DX engine harness that was on the car and make the necessary changes to it - in order to run the engine as OBD1, you will need the OBD0 to OBD1 jumper harness for the ECU - the good jumper harnesses have the additional wiring built in that converts your wiring from DPFI to MPFI - you will have a few more minor wiring changes to make

You will need to convert to MPFI then go obd1. The obd1 harness will NOT work. I can build you a full conversion harness. With all brand new wiring and contacts. Pm or txt me if you are in need of one.

The only way to get rid of the white plugs is to depin your stock harness and repin the gray connectors.

On a side note I have been thinking of making an adapter harness which will allow you to plug in an obd1 stock engine harness into an 88-91 EF, but am unsure of the demand. Lmk if this is something your interested in.

can you buy the grey connectors ? yes how much would it run for you to make one for me? why cant you use the obd1 engine harness? i dont like the that the 20yr old 70s colored harness has to go on my new motor.
