It is not good what you doing to your R.
You need to let the engine to warm up to its proper operation temperature.
The ecu won't let the engine hit vtec until it reaches the right temperature.
It is designed like that to protect your engine.
If you are one of those drivers that get into their cars and start it and go, you should take at least five minutes to warm up the engine.

Peace.

I have to agree. I used to beat the **** out of my car but always waited until it was warm ( well ok I'm sure a few times I didn't, but ). Now I just never rev above 4000rpm, that way I wont miss the mad power y0! when I start driving a civic

No its not a real R just a gs with type r wing motor paint rims interior and suspension.
Maybe too he was driving the 'other' R. The one in his sig.

Ok too all of you that are sayin that i probably beat on my car that is not the case i wash it once a week and take the best of care of it that i can. Obiously if i didnt warm my car up to operating temp every time i drove it i would have asked this question months ago when i first got the car, but since im asking now you can easily come to the conclusion that i warm my car up.

Today i just realized it because i didnt have a chance to warm it up and was in a fat *** rush to get to work so i obviously had to drive faster than normal and that is why i noticed the problem. But now i know its not a problem just keep doin what i was doin and thats let the car warm up.

O yeah i have one more question not related to my car why is my thing stuck aat 49 posts i had like 400 or something then all of a sudden when i changed my sig and got up to 49 it quit going up

Let the car idle for a while.

The reason why i put that **** in my sig is because some dumb ho drives up next to me in a 240 and is like and I quote "that isnt a real type r, it dosent have the stickers". So i guess since i dont have the stickers my suspension gearing and compression all changed because you all know that stickers are what make the type r so great and unique and also why it carried a 27 thousand dollar price tag.
