Left and right axle same?
I'll edit my silly post
Hi!
According to the oem part number, GSR and ITR does not use the same axles
My question is, why Driveshaft shops list them as same? I have a 98 GSR with 5 lugs conversion using DSS 2.9 and it always clunks from the right side. Tried two right DSS and it's the same problem... Any one dealt with that kind of problem before?
Thanks a lot for your time!

No. They're not the same. The driver's side axle has one female end and one male end. The female end fits into the intermediate shaft. The male end splines into the hub. The passenger axle has 2 male ends. One goes into the trans, one goes into the hub.
how could I have forgot that!
lol wow now I feel lame
I changed then couple times so I should have known
ok so there's an error on the oem parts website, but that does not fix my problem. I would like to make sure whether or not the ITR passenger and GSR passenger side is the same length. And what could cause failure from that side only. Car setup Quaife LSD on stock GSR trans and 420whp. But the car is granny driven since axle problem...
Only real OEM difference is that the ITR driveshafts don't have that rubber damper in the middle of the shaft. GSR, LS, B16 etc all have the rubber damper. Everything else seems the same. Other than that they are totally interchangeable.
For whatever reason, the 1997 Type R has different inboard boots and different outboard joints than other Integras of that year. Don't know why...
