Code 9, Cylinder Position on a ZC. Is there a swappable part?
I understand what component this is and I guess I'm going to try and replace it since I'm getting the code. Is there an equivilant part or do I need to get my hands on an actual zc cam sensor?
if it is the bit that hangs off of the exhaust cam (distributor side) then it is identical
to the same unit on a 89 Integra; they are expensive new, though, so you may want
to get one from the wrecker's

Does anyone know if there is a way to test the sensor, and what are the symptoms of a spun bearing?

knock knock knock knock knock
hehe. Code 9 has nothing to do with a spun bearing. But I'm sure you could have both at the same time, wouldn't that be fun.

Bad, it should say .350 to .500 ohms anything over that means that the inside winding are bad. Alot of time it wont read anything which means its cut in half somewhere. Yes it the Omega sign you got the rest correct just a bad sensor.
Mine threw a code 9 once time when it was actually the cam angle sensor. I reset it and it kept throwing the 9. If the Cyl Pos Sensor doesn't fix it, try sensor inside the distributor instead.
This is a teg distributer so I don't believe it has one, I know the Si one has more wires than the teg.
88-89 integra distributor has crank angle sensor and TDC sensor inside the distributor. cylinder position is on the exhaust cam sensor....
