Default Ac?? For thousandth time. Sorry

Posting from my phone, and I have crappy service. So searching kinda sucks.

I know it has been covered before, and I have seen it, but I can't remember what it was called.
1994 accord lx. Under the glove box. Coming from the blower motor. These wires hanging down connected by twist-on connectors, get really hot and are starting to melt. Something is missing. What is it called?

The ac functions pretty well, but I know someone cut something out and connected the wires together.here is a blurry pic I just took, while we are driving. http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/h...3011134855.jpg

Not sure of the year here, but anyway that should be "past" the resistor that controls the speed.....so is the motor just getting old and tired (drawing too much).

Resistor. Ghats the word.lol. So the resister is higher up where it can't be seen?
Should take the motor out and ohm test it and doin by hand to see if it moves freel?

Again, not sure what year you have here., kind of looks like a 5th gen (94-97)......but the wires "seem" to be a splice into the motor, which is why I said "after" the resistor.

Yes, you can always test the motor.

Yes sir 1994. Thank you very much.

I cut the wires just now and reconnected them and have been running the ac for about ten minutes now. And it seems they are not getting hot. Inside the old connectors was some green corrosion. And the writes seemed burned and melted. Could a bad connection generate enough heat there ro burn you? Cuz they were getting really hot before

Yes. At some point, know you are on the road, you'll want to take care of the connetion you just made....butt splice or a two wire pigtail and tape or heat shrink.....happy motoring.

Yes, bad connections can generate heat if they have enough resistance. There is supposed to be a connector there.
