Default Starter won't crank after wire tuck

I have a 93 Si I recently wire tucked... after the wire tuck I came to find my ignition wires were in the wrong pin, when I turned the key to the "on" position the starter turned over constant. When I returned the pins to the proper location the starter now will not turn over at all. I double checked all of my pinning in my plugs thinking that I possibly had some other wires in the wrong location. I thought maybe I burnt up the solenoid in the starter so I tried another starter and it doesn't work either. I used a test light and I'm getting power to the starter... does anyone have any ideas or pointers that may help me out? I'd really like to drive my car again soon. What are the possibilities that I may just have a bad harness? In fact I never previously used this harness on anything it was in my buddy's garage and I jacked it for my tuck hah. Any help or suggestions would be SUPER appreciated! Thanks guys.

Do both starter wires, large and small, have voltage?

Is the transmission ground wire clean and tight?

Yes. I used a test light and both wires are getting power. And I have brand new grounds on the car. It just doesn't make sense to me. I'm rdy to roll it into the yard and roast marshmellows after setting it on fire.

Are you able to push start the engine?

When you turn the key from off to ON(II), does the CEL remain on steady?

I haven't tried to push start the car actually. My garage is at the bottom of the yard and I have nothing to pull it with. -fail- but yes the cel is on. Before I went over the wiring it gave me 10 and 20 10 is iat and 200 ia elc electronic load discharge. Which that told me wires were misplaced. And now it only gives me cel 10

Currently, when the CEL blinks code 10, does the code repeat over and over or does it blink once and then the CEL remains on steady?

It just keeps blinking the 10 repeatedly.

What are the voltage readings at the two wires attached to the starter?

With the key off, use a multimeter to measure resistance between the bolt holding the transmission ground wire and the negative battery post.

Im not quite sure what the reading is all I used was a test light. Ill have to find someone with a multimeter or just go buy one and try again. Will the fact that my battery is in the trunk, and I'll have to use a section of wire to extend it to the back of the car. But thanks I'll get to that if I can today.

Bro, go to your local Harbor Freight with 20 bucks and stock up on Multimeter and other electrical supplies. It will make your troubleshooting life much easier.

Good luck,

Check all fuses... ALL of them. use your test light and ground it and touch both the small pins on the back of the fuses

Ok so I had some family things come up and haven't had the time to work on my car, but tomorrow I am getting to it. Ron I see that you're online could you tell me what the readings are I'm looking for when I use the multimeter on those two wires? Thx

You should be looking for close to zero resistance between the points. Set your meter to Ohms and touch your two test leads together that will represent zero Ohms (continuity). Now check the two points that Ron mentioned and you measured a couple ohms from your meter. Make sure you have the car ignition off. I would disconnect positive side cable off the battery.

Set the multimeter to read DCV, then measure the voltage across the battery posts. You should measure about 12.5V, which is defined as battery voltage.

You should measure approximately battery voltage at both the large and small starter wires. For these tests, use the negative battery post as ground. Then compare the two voltage readings with those obtained using the thermostat housing as ground. Note that the voltage test for the small starter wire is done with the key held in ON(III) and the clutch pedal pushed down.

Ok so I tested my wires. The large main power wire reads 12.3 on DCV and the smaller signal wire only reads .03. Just a wild guess that would be my problem. As far as OHM goes the large power wire when on 20M setting it gave me reading of 11.7 and on 20K setting it read 14.7 and my battery is dead so I'm running Walmart. Ron if you read this what your feedback thus far bro? Signal wire is f'd in the a is my guess?

Did the rubber stopper (red arrow) that presses on the starter switch at the top of the clutch pedal fall out or break?

I just looked and the black wire is cut on the safety switch. If its not wired in it should just be disabled correct?

A cut black wire would indeed disable the starter switch.

Alright. Is that as simple as grounding it under the dash?
