how much horse power can a stock h22a4 block handle
The block in my car had 10 psi for about 20k miles or so and is still very healthy, (guy I got the block from was running that, I have no boost)
well the reason why i ask is because i think on income tax return i plan on getting a supercharger kit and not sure if the block would be able to handle it as a daily driver
I don't think the block by itself could handle boost over 2-5psi
Anything higher you're going to have to sleeve, upgrade pistons, etc

dreday2 thats wrong boss.... the stock block can handle about 8-10 psi but after that if u dont have the money then u can buy rods and mahle pistons WITHOUT SLEEVING THE MOTOR !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! good luck on your build boss...

^^^ A really badass tune lol. Basically the first thing to go would be the piston ringlands..... Not the block. The block itself is usually the strongest part of a stock motor.
Depends on your tuner, if you have a really good tune, you can do all sorts of craziness.
It's not a matter of what the stock bottom end can do, its a matter of how far you are willing to go to protect it.
Bad tune, bad owner, bad driver, all can kill a stock block with no mods.

ok that makes since but how can i no if i have a good tune or not? theres less then a hand full of people that can tune where i live. once i get the sc on how can i get it to the shop to get it tuned that really my biggest issue is if its way off is it safe to drive carefully to a shop 30min away or maybe even 2hours away?
You have to ask around about the shop/tuner, ask for references, find people with similar mods in your area, ask about their experiences with different tuners. Ask if they are familiar with your mods, if they've tuned anything like yours before, ask for specifics about those experiences.
You either trailer to the shop, or you work with them to get a base map that you can drive mildly on to get there.

like using a tubular manifold vs. a log.
i cracked all four ring lands in a 400whp nitrous motor...lasted for awhile at around 350ish..nitrous is usually harder on things compared to turbo
If you size your injectors properly and tune rich, nitrous is no more damaging to your motor than FI.
lol with the ammount of shot that was going through the motor it was harder on it than a turbo set-up making 400whp....it was a high compression motor....nitrous is different in the ammount that a 4banger small motor can diegest....ever heard of a 1000whp nitrous only honda....i know i havent...i have heard damn near 1000whp h2x motors...there are a number of reason's why a small motor can only take so much nitrous....nitrous changes cyclinder temp very quickly faster than a turbo car does....also i was on type s stock pistons the ring lands are the weak point like what was said above
My experience is with friends with moderate nitrous set ups, 75-100HP. Their cars died do to their own idiocy, not the nitrous.
I haven't seen anything on a Honda motor bigger than that, V8s yes, I4s, no.
I'll admit when I'm wrong.

when you race a nitrous car, things happen. when your making double the NA power just from nitrous at an instant, that is a shitload of stress on the pistons. Boost pressure is atleast gradual
yeah most i have seen in a 4banger is a 400shot car....but it was forged....but yes your basic 75shot street car making 225whp the nitrous isnt that hard on it...bu when your spraying a big shot on an allreasy stout motor its hard on it...especially if it is a stock piston motor,,,that is why mine went crack/crack
im not necessarily saying you are wrong, but with the amount of times ray beat on that motor with nitrous on that kind of shot with stock pistons, it was bound to happen much earlier than say a boosted stock block making the same power.
agree'd
fast stuff like that pushing the limit isnt going too last for ever...on the 100-125shot it was holding perty good..150 was just the breaking point i was hoping too get into the 10's on the stock pistons,,,i had alot of parts ready too go so i was like screw it 150shot..made damn good power for two pulls..
