hello. i have been looking for a good running del sol for awhile and finally found one (for a work car). i currently have 2 "parts" del sols that are complete but both blow white smoke. the one del sol has alot of add ons and i am trying to get the trunk open. i cant remember where i put the keys to it but i want to take the taillights out and put them on my current good running del sol.
does anyone know a trick or a way to get the trunk open without breaking anything........im still looking for the keys but is it possible for honda to cut me a key from the vin number on a car this old? (1993)

del sol dont have trunk latches inside the car???

 

I've gotten keys cut for 1988 model Hondas. Yes, it's possible.

 

Bring your registration or title to a Honda dealer and they can cut you a new key. I had two made for my '93 Sol and cost about $5 for both.

Proof of ownership, photo ID, $10 (just to be safe that you have enough) and your VIN. That should be enough to get your key cut.

 

really i can go to honda show my proof of ownership and theyll make me a key for my car cause i only have an alarm to lock and unlock my doors and my ignition is off from a accord so i have accord key

 

You need the VIN or key code from the car said lock cylinder is from.

At least some original keys have the key code stamped on them. Four digits long iirc.
