Default common b16 bolt ons worth the money?

So living up to the name, I am picking up my 93 hatch on tuesday (FREAKING YAY!). It already has a pretty solid b16a swap in it. but other than a cold air intake theres not much going on under there. after the buy and fixing the honda rot ill have around 6-800 to spend. this is strictly my dd so im just wondering where this money should go to get some more UMPH outta this puppy. it also has eibach springs on gsr struts and front sway bar. help me out here guys, i call upon your never ending wisdom and guidance.....THANKS OH BTW that 6-800 is purely parts cost cuz my very talented buddy and i will be doing the work ourselves

basic tune up to make sure its running perfectly than a decent header and exhaust would be my next suggestion. that will take up your whole budget though using a replica header. a good brand name header will be at the cheapest 800 new unless you can find a nice used one

yeah. parts like plugs wires cap rotor ect ect. thats about 100 right there for good parts. a decent replica header will run you around 400 and the exhaust can be done for say 2-300 so there ya go. doesn't matter how much knowledge someoneh as. parts cost money

Establish a plan for what you want the car to be, then start researching how to assemble an appropriate package to get the car there.

LEGO building just ends up being a waste of time and money (which I doubt very many of us have in overabundance)

Since it already has a b16, buy a cheap working h22 longblock and a QSD kit and you'll get more power per dollar spend than $2000 worth of go fast parts would. And you'd have a stock motor.

I,H,E + cams and gearing.
A 4.9 final would do it slight justice

Otherwise there's no replacement for displacement.

Good post.....those are all good mods. Honestly, with those mods, granted they are quality parts, would make a fun car to drive. The parts in my sig netted me 168.1 whp on a crappy header. May not have been the fastest car but man it was fun!
