2nd gear gsr and 2nd gear ls whats the diff

same teeth count but gsr has double syncro and ls has one

can i use the ls gear with one syncro on my gsr tranny it seems to work when i put it together but dont want to take a chance of installing the tranny in car

so what the big differnts
