Default Where to buy fuel injectors?!?!

I need a set of stock H22A4 injectors (290cc). I am having incredible difficulty finding them online. I don't want to drop $50-100 per injector on a set of brand new ones in some off brand i.e. Beck-Arnley or Accel. I would rather find a set of stock injectors off a 97+ Prelude and just send them off to Witchhunter for cleaning and flow testing to ensure that I have indeed 290cc injectors. Unless someone has some other suggestions?

I heard you can use some DSM injectors as well. What year(s) and models/engines can I use to look up to find injectors that I need?

I have some used 93 JDM injectors, they've been flow tested by witchhunter I believe, they tested 100% for 3 of them and 80% for one. I'm not sure if you can use them though, you might not have a resistor box.

I would try a scrap yard... best place... the 290's are a world of there own really... the 93-96 preludes ether used 235cc (h23) or 345cc(h22). Most B series motors use 240cc injectors and same with all 1G & 2G Non Turbo Eclipses.... so eek! But ya a scrap yard, go pull them your self, clean them up and use them... or get your ecu re chipped to use diffrent injectors.... only idea I got for u

What style connection do they use? EV1, EV6, etc? Are 3 of them flowing at 290cc and one is flowing at 230cc? If so, that's kinda unacceptable

Thanks. I'm not having any luck with any of the junkyards in my area. There was only one Prelude at a junkyard and most of that is gone now. Injectors sold with the engine, the guy said.

I definitely need 290cc injectors because that's what Phearable chipped my P72 ECU for, but it's not running very well and one theory is that I have the wrong injectors (240cc instead) on my car. So I'm trying to find a set of authentic 290cc injectors that I can get a printout of their flow testing so I know exactly what to set the tune for.

Unless I can run 300, 400cc etc injectors and simply tune for them to run like stock.

If you get non-stock sized injectors, I would think Phearable could send you an updated chip (probably for a fee) to match whichever injectors you get. I don't know what your time frame is, but I should have my stock injectors free out of my '97 in a few weeks if you're not in a rush.

I'm not sure what the connection is, I used the 92 F22 harness without modification to the injector connectors when I swapped my H22 in. I'm sure I have a paper with the diagnostic info on it, but it's sitting at the shop with my lude.

Thanks guys. I was thinking that yea, even if I had 500cc injectors, you would think Phearable or something could easily tune for them to run at 290cc. Definitely not ideal, but if I can't find anything closer to 290cc, ya know?

I am definitely needing them ASAP, but let me know if you get to taking your stockies out sooner gstrudler!

Since mine are JDM, I think they are 345s.

In reality the ECU doesn't know anything about the injector size, all it knows is how long to pulse the injectors. Tuning the ECU for the injectors just means adjusting how long they stay open for under different loads.

$125 new, ouch! Stupid question, did you check local craigslist? You can also search CL nationwide here: http://www.allofcraigs.com/ Word of warning, I had to broaden the search to "prelude" to find anybody parting a 1997+. There's a handful of locals parting 97+. If you want me to check with them, give me a PM.

I just remembered, I just picked up an EG shell yesterday. My old H22 is going to find a new home there, so I wouldn't be able to get rid of mine now. Sorry

Dangit! lol

I've checked local Craigslist yea. No luck But I'm keeping my eye on it...

I don't have PayPal (long story) so I can't do any eBay transactions. There was only ONE Prelude in a junkyard in the Denver metro area and nothing much is left of it. I got the engine bay wiring harness haha

See if the seller will accept a money order. You don't have to have a paypal account to get an ebay account. Worth a shot for $45: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1997-...item35b28ad5f8

See if anybody will mail 'em:
