hello. i tried searching on honda-tech and online and cant really find an answer or a blown up photo. my 1993 del sol is having a problem with the door lock and latch. it will open fine but when i stick the key in it and turn it it will not lock and unlock. it looks like the rod is off on the part that connects to the door handle. however even when i move this piece up and down it wont unlock.....it looks like something is wrong with the piece at the bottom of the latch (white plastic)
is this a common problem? or is there an easy fix for this?

 

Is it just one side or both doors? I'm assuming some messed with it and the locking rod bracket is damaged or missing. Get either a used or new set. Stuff like that will be hard to fix if it is damaged.
