Wagon ECU only?
New-to-me '96 auto EX wagon failing HC & CO emissions badly, tested engine coolant temp sensor, OK @ 240Ω @175F. But on the sensor connector I'm getting 5v between the red/white wire terminal and ground, and 5v between the red/white terminal and the green/blue terminal too. The FSM says "Subsitute known good ECM..."
The car has a P0J-A80 ECM now, which I think* is out of a '96 LX wagon. It's got greasy fingerprints on the cover so I'm pretty sure it's been replaced. I wouldn't think that an LX ECM would be the best choice since it's for a VTEC. Would an ECM out a a four-door EX sedan work? The only difference that I know of is that keyless entry was standard on wagons and I don't have a fob for it anyway.
*ID'd the ECM from this TSB
