brakes issue
My car, rear brake, is making that grinding/screeching sound when I slow down. I notice the side that making the sound has so much brake compound wear off from the pad...it sound like the caliper is so tight against the rotor. But when I go 30 speed limit or over..the sound no longer there or making it.
Any opinion of what the problem could be? I was thinking about replacing the caliper and new pads since the one that is making the sound wear off much more than the rest...won't be even brake.
I just replaced the whole rotors and brake pads last year. These wouldn't even ebay parts.
Thanks for any of your input here ^_^

Take the bolts out of the caliper and see if you can push the piston back in. If it goes back in then the caliper is good. Check the slides and make sure they are not frozen (move caliper from side to side after piston is pushed in). Also make sure the pads are not frozen in the caliper brackets!! A quick fix would be a loaded caliper from you auto parts store, make sure you bleed the brake lines!!!
