Default 1.8 60' times on Falken Azenis

I was talking to some friends of mine a few weeks ago and one of them told me that he knew of someone who got 1.8 60' times on Falken Azenis...is that possible?

Only if the car is RWD or AWD? No FWD STREET car can get a 60' that low.

with a LSD and a good driver it might be possible in a FWD...but still very hard

I remember about a year ago I made a post asking if anyone had hit 1.9 60ft on street tires(including drag radials) in a FWD honda. No one had done it, now, many people are doing it. But not on falken azenis i doubt it.

I hit 2.01 on Falken Azenis 195/60R14. tons of wheelspin. It's possible, but not with a lot of whp. 14.01@99.

Yeah, some crazy low time, cant remember exactly. I ran 2.01 on 205/45/15 Nitto 555Rs with my GSR. Pretty sticky for not much $$ IMO.

that seems entirely too low for street tires. my friends 240sx w/ sr20det hits consistent 1.6's and the occasional 1.5 but that's on 22" slicks. imagine w/ some 26''s?????

My buddy's MR2 pulled a few 1.7's on toyo street tires. Mid engine though.

Your gonna have to provide more info on that setup to prevent flamage hehe

I ran a 1.9 60 on Yokohama 205/60 x 13 A032R's BUT car has to be LIGHT!!!

I'm sure Erick would run better on these than I have

I have hit two 1.9 60fts on the stock michelins in my GSR. I dont see why it wouldn't be possible to hit thesame on azena's. I think suspension plays a very big role in the 60ft. The tire helps a lot, but if your car is setup right, you can make any tire look good in the 1/4 mile.

hehe it sounds unbelievable but here was my setup then:
90 CRX Si stripped rear
STOCK suspension
b16a1 with s1 tranny and iceman intake
15 inch rims with 205/50/15 toyo fz4's

1.6 60ft, 14.8@90 mph
and no i didn't stage with the rear wheels

after that i got bfg drag radials but never got to the track again. I'm almost thinking of getting another set of fz4's

most likely a error with the lights, or car was too low, seriously.

I'll break out the .661 60 foot timeslip if needed to prove lights can be out of wack.

My RT on that pass was a near perfect .505!

I pulled a 2.1 60ft with my 17's at 35psi tire preasure. But I dunno a 1.8 seems reallllly low for a street tire

timeslip or track error. a 1.6 is not possible. i'm not saying your slip didn't read a 1.6. it probably did. but thats not what your actual 60 was. same thing happened with the cybernations car. its happened before.

Maybe if they staged with the rear tires?

its very possibly it was a timeslip error, i have no idea. Just telling you what the slip told me. I'm not gonna sit here and insist i pulled that time cause you guys have alot more experience with this than me.
