I want rear speakers in my civic but there are none and before I go threw all the work of running wires back there I was just wondering if Honda prewired for rear speakers, where to look, and where the best place to install the new speakers would be thanks

 

they make rear speaker pods, but theyre like 100 on ebay, jus search ef9, as for existing wires, only if someone else put them in before, otherwise there are none

 

the wires should be there for the rear speakers, they might be wrapped up though. should be two spade connectors. there is a factory speaker mounting procedure for 5 1/4 inch speakers... you just need to find the parts...

i am going to make an mdf spacer for the speaker, and seal the box as well. they sound really nice, good deep bass, but a little whistle from not being a good seal yet.
definitely searching junkyards for.

 

The wires are always there. You need to look in rear. Pull out the rear plastics a little. The wires will be behind your struts and infront of the tail lights. And I got my rear speaker pods for $10. Got. Them from a junk yard. They came on usdm cars, so there is no need to look up anything jdm. Look around in junk yards. Don't pay 100. Just keep searching. Good luck
