Default Bisimoto Custom Header and its NOT a Honda

Thought I would share with all of you! Here at Bisimoto Engineering we always love new projects so when our friends from Wilson Off Road Racing ask us to design a Custom Bisimoto Header for there off road race buggy we were very excited to get more power out of something new other than just another Honda!

Of course at the moment the dyno numbers are top secret in order to protect our customer from his competition, but once I'm given the OK I will post results

A little information it has a Chevy Ecotec motor which is limited to stock internals and intake manifolds but are free to do modifications to the header and exhaust system so they came to us to do something to extract the most amount of power out of there setup

Here is there junk header and exhaust it came in with. Damn thing looked like a cheapy turbo manifold from ebay LOL

Here is the Custom Bisimoto Header with a Burns muffler

ive never understood what all this top secret **** is about. there is a local shop here that swears by bisimoto and is trying to push bisi engineering but "everythings a ****ing secret".

way back when i met bis at an idrc even, the same time i met and drank a tall boy with dr charles, i saw his f22 motor being ran by an "L3" crx si tranny and i asked bisi are you gonna sell those plates and he said its not a kit. its an accord tranny . i saw it with my own eyes. ever since then ive just had a bad taste in my mouth. good job on making a header and exhaust for a stock ecotec motor . please get permission to post results.

They explained why they aren't releasing numbers. Quit bitching at the lady she wanted to show something interesting no need to crucify her cuz her customer wants to keep things confidential

LOL sometimes it does feel like NASA here since there is a lot of information I can not share but that is how it is in a competitive industry that we are in. Cant give up all the secrets

If a customer does not give consent to release numbers I will not go against them. I just wanted to share something different other than just another Honda.

We have are own fab guy locally with a dedicated shop to produce Bisimoto headers and other related Bisimoto products to our designs. Its been that way for years.

As long as I've know Bisi he has been very open with his setups but of course your talking about way back in the day if your talking about having beers with Dr. Charles at IDRC's. Maybe Bisi was a little more conservative of his winning setups back then lol

But thank-you for what you say about the header for the ecotec! If the customer does allow us to share later down the line after his race season is over then I will post results right away!

Looks pretty good.

Just wanted to add that Borla isn't exactly junk exhaust! I'm guessing that it wasn't a custom header that cost them $1500+ ether. I know you said this was a Chev but that old one that was on there looks a lot like an off the shelf Headman header for the Ford 2.0 Ecotec.

Looking forward to seeing the gains that were made.

Not yet, stick to the Accord & EMS forums mostly. Not really a hole lot going on here in the AM forum that involves the big block engines. I tend to stay out of those threads that ask what cams or pistons work best for 300whp NA.

I'm pretty sure T-Bone is about the only one that has the answer to that question. Lol

Ford's turbocharged, direct injected, four cylinder engine is Ecoboost.

Chevy's turbocharged/supercharged, inline four cylinder engine is Ecotec.

At the moment we have not been given the authority to release that type of information to the public as our valued customer has deemed to keep that type of information strictly confidential till further notice, due to the competitive nature of his class.

We will keep you all posted.

Cheers, Alvin.

Honestly, I'll be blunt. If you are unable to post any of the technical info that people are asking about. Then this thread should not be in this forum. This is an all motor tech forum and this thread contains no tech. Posting it in the GD or Marketplace/sales forums would make more sense. Once you are able to provide specific technical information post away!

Kind of seems like a sales gimmick without tech......
