The main bonus of the z1 is the computer and engine in combination with the wideband o2. I would say that just the manifold won't help at all. The ecu may make some difference but you will have to sort out how to run a wideband.

the easiest way to get the best gas mileage is to find a CRX HF 8 valve engine and run MPFI with the stock HF setup.. i would say. Or get a chipped ECU and run MPFI and have a tuner tune it for extreme gas mileage.

nope.. the z1 uses a wideband, the z6 is narrowband 4 wire i believe. The ecu will flip out without it. you would need to add some extra wiring to make the 6(?) wire wideband work.

Unfortunately I don't know the details off the top of my head to run the wideband, but it should not be terribly difficult to do if you are not afraid of some wiring.

Another idea would be to just pick up a innovate or similar wideband, and run it to the z1 ecu.. I am sure someone has done this though and figured out an easy way, so do some searching on how to run a wideband in a non-wideband car in a z1 swap car.
