best brand and size drag radials for an accord
yea im lloking to get some drag radials for my 96 accord i got shitty street tires and bein boosted dont help... there gonna be just for the track and im only makin like 230 horse so deffinitly no need for slicks lol... but any info on a brand and what size tire to use.. an size of rim i was thinkin a 15'' rim any info plese let me know thnx....
I havbe them on stock 15" steelies with hubcaps ;O) They call for 6.5" or better... Im actually going to try a G60 next time thats about 3/4 wider and .7 taller.... See if it fits.

I would think that if you have OEM stuff it wouldnt hit without the spacers even, but if it does.. No biggie, at all. DO you have wheel studs?

i like that ^^^ anyway, i would pick up some extended wheel studs, especially if you are going to run any spacer while drag racing. Safety first.
Dude, that is CRAZY!!!!!! I bet most people would NEVER see those non-stock tires on there.
Can they hook up in second gear at all, or not till third? (I assume they can hook in third at least, or you probably wouldn't be so stoked on them?)

They hook 450ish in second with about 11 PSI in them very well 3rd gets around 550 ish at it and 4th/5th gets the full meal deal (Depending on which tranny I have in it at the time... My straightcut box is super short and close ratio so the breakdowns a bit different ;O)...
The motor makes a shitload of TQ fast and violently, so it also depends on how warm they are, and how I have the boost rampoed in as fcar as duty cycle per gear...
But they work VERY VERY well. Its all I EVER put on the front of tghe car LOL.

The M&H 235/60/15 is definately a good tire and does very well. I will go that route at some point to try it in the future.

Bfg's are meh they work ok but not fantastic on mine, price is decent though and wear life is not too bad for a weekend cruiser like mine. M/T were better, hook better, cost a little more, wear is slightly better than the Bfg in my experience.
For example the Bfg will not hook up 95% of the time in 2nd with only spring pressure (16#'s on 6265 precision turbo), on good concrete and with some heat in the tire... vs the M/T which will at least partially bite a good percentage of the time in the same situation. Hard to really state how much improved the M/T are over the Bfg, but its pretty marked and very quickly noticable improvement imo.

The M H are great for traction but are the suck to drive. They are a bias ply tire, they wander the road pretty bad on the highway and never seem to stay balanced. If this car is driven everyday i would suggest going with some MTs or BFGs, they give up some traction but make up for it in the drive. If the car only comes out to "play" then by all means the MH are bad ***.

Have driven M&Hs for over 2 years every day on the car... Its not nearly as bad as youre making it out to be, nor is he running them every day... They SMOKE the MTs at the track (in additin to the street)as well... Which is what hes looking for primarily.
They in no way "suck" to drive. If they do, your alignment or something else sucks.
