Good price on a lude?
A dealer near me has a 1999 Pearl White Prelude (base model - 5 speed) w/ 45k miles. They're asking $16,900 and according to a friend of mine, the car has been sitting on the lot for a month. He says they've dropped the price twice already.
Is this a good price? Book value is $16,700 (Nada).
I have a '99 Civic Si that I'd either trade-in or sell private party.
Thanks!

Depends on the condition of the car.
For reference, 3 months ago I got my 99 PWP 5spd base for $15,700 with 33k, but from a private party. If it's honda certified used, then I'd say the price is good.

I work for a dealership here in Minot,ND. There is no way we would try and sell a 1999 Prelude Base with 45K for $16995. With a book of $16700 they should be asking $16500 with the intention of taking around $15000 to $15500. So thats what I would offer. I would start at $15000 and see if they try and bump you a couple hundred. I'll put it this way we have a 2000 Prelude base for $17595 with 30K. It has a retail book of $18475.
A buddy of mine is selling his wife's Lude.. take a peek...
