So the other day some dude backed into my jdm front R. So now I obviously have to repair it. So I was wondering, I can get a good price on a non-hid headlight could I just switch my hid ballast over to the non-hid headlight? Or do I have to buy a hid headlight?

 

the NON HID JDM lights have these very light lines across the lights, WHere as the HID JDM head lights have the lines polished clean off so that it wont affect the HID beam


Can you bolt the HID Ballast to the non HID? i don't think its possible i had both lights and if i recall correctly the Ballast wouldn't bolt up.

 

Also, HID projector is different from non-HID projector.

 

yea ok well i guess i have to buy another headlight then but all the headlights i find are always sold as a pair any of you know of some one or a site selling only one?

Wait can I bake my headlight and buy a non hid headlight and just transfer over the lens because that's the only thing that broke when she hit me or is that different as well?

 

iv got some jdm 98 type r lights for $600 nz dollars. a paid in mint condition

 

The lens is slightly different, as you can see above non-HID has lines across the projector area, while the HID has a circular cutout. Other than that they are the same.
