I have done retrofits in 2 of my cars. Personally I would never do the cheapo PNP HID junk.

don't buy just a PnP kit, definitely go with Retrofits, cause you may as well do it right the first time

No, you really want to stay away from any of the eBay/cheap lighting stuff. Retrofit is really the only way to go

Lucky for you 5th gen headlights are rather large (unlike 4th gen), so you can get most anything in there.

Here's a good place to start: http://www.theretrofitsource.com/

There's also tons of OEM parts on eBay to do retrofits.

I ended up using some 2010 Buick projectors on one of my cars, and the CRV has some universal projectors.

i dont mean to keep asking a bunch of questions without searching but what does a full retrofit usually end up costing??

im thinking i could get two headlights from work and use those projectors as long as the part isnt warranty

$3-400 if you shop around for good deals. Also figure around 10-20 hours your first time for the labor (depending on your skill of course ). Custom mounting stuff in the housing, aiming, wiring, etc. takes time.

I found both sets on eBay HID relay harnesses on eBay, and shrouds from The Retrofit Source.

No need to waste your money on the headlights you posted up, cause you can just use that money toward real retrofits. The lights you posted above are just halogen projectors, so putting HID's in them won't be as good as using true HID projectors. I'm actually doing an FX retrofit for another guy who currently has the cheapo halogen projector lights, so when I'm finished, he's going to be taking a few pics to show the difference.

if you have access to headlights from your work such as the RX330 headlights, I'd pick them up.

That's what a lot of people think, but they all do perform differently. Even HID projectors perform differently. Some HID projectors are better than others such as having a wider light output or sharper cutoff. Just things in that nature

thats funny, HID kits are 40 shipped.. the chinese brand.. which work perfect on my 2008 tundra. pretty close to stock cut off, with more light output. (12k).
I bought some xentec one's from ebay. for my prelude, and lets just say that im in the process of retrofitting them.
