Default Re: brake problem help?

did you get new pads/rotors recently? I have noticed that some aftermarket parts companies are now selling rotors/pads that are beyond the spec of OEM equipment. for example, the OEM pad depth should be 9mm maximum, but I just got some pads from Advance auto that were 11mm deep. Now, throw on a brand new set of rotors that are in spec, and your brakes are 4mm/side more tight then they should be.

Get in there and start measuring pad depth and rotor width and report back with your findings. from there, you may have a vacuum booster issue if your brake parts are not incorrect against the spec.
