Been researching all day using the search function & looking thru the suspension threads for my '99 Base daily driver's next set of coilovers. My budget is about $1000-1200 and would just like a final confirmation from you Prelude pro's, especially those 5th gens that have more weight than alot of the others. It is a daily driver so im not looking to slam and bounce around like crazy, but to lower w reasonable comfort.
1.Koni Yellows + Ground Control coilover-sleeves- Seem to be the tried and true for everybody
2.Function and Form straight up Coilovers- are recommended to me from a friend but im seeing mixed reviews in general.
3. Tien straight up coilovers- Ive seen this brand around alot.
Thanks in advance for the help!

Seen alot of Tien on 4th and 5th gen preludes.. they ride nice once they are dialed in... if not they tend to be a bit bouncy... But they hug the road and they are well worth it
You will be greatly satisfied with #3.
I am partial to Tein products, they offer a nice smooth ride on most every surface. They have a firm feel without beating you up.
For your price range I would consider getting a set of Tein Basic coilovers.
You might be able to get set of Super Street Coiovers from tein as the starting price is around 1k.
The difference between the two is that the basic damper has set damping and can not be adjusted.
The super streets all for damping adjustment which will allow you to soften or firm up the ride to your liking.

Im at the Tien website and the Super Street Damper seems pretty badass having the year warranty, both ride height and damping force adjustment. K, down to Tien or Koni and GC...

Like I said above, tiens are awesome once you dial in.. simple to install and use. they work amzing, I actully have a set in my 4th gen and No body roll or anything. I hug corners and it feels like im just normaly driving around the corner at the posted speed vrs my spirted driving...

Yes you can adjust the damping which will allow you to dial in a softer or firmer ride on the street. They are perfectly matched spring and shock setup. Sure other companies offer entry level coilovers with damping adjustability, but i have tried others (function and form, megan racing) they suck *****! Tein has been around alot longer than them and have been developing there suspensions for some time now.
Ya they allow no FLEX... its nice for me as VT has a crap load of chuck holes.... but yes when I travel out of state I make them very very soft, feels like a Benz ride
