I recently purchased a "built B16" from and older co worker of mine.

Long story short, he is like 50yo and bought this motor with the intent to put it in his integra cross country race car. Motor was purchased from a guy in california. Motor was never torn apart and has been sitting for a year now. I pulled valve cover and noticed CTR cams. Immediatly i offered to buy from him. He said $200 LOL. SOLD.

Turns out it has CTR cams, DUAL springs intake and exhaust, TODA high comp pistons 81.5mm. I am having major issues trying to re ring and re bearing this motor.

Pulled the pan off today and the rods have been narrowed. They are stock PR3 rods shaved down. I have a set of "stock" b16 pr3 rods to compare and the stock ones are about 2mm wider. I cant figure out where to get bearings for these rods. Im stumped.

GIVE OR TAKE 1/4mm acuracy.. The mic was old.
Heres some of my measurements.
rod bearing width- Stock b16- 19.5mm new
rod bearing diameter- stock b16- 46mm new
rod journal diameter- stock b16- 48.5 new
rod journal width - stock b16- 21.5mm new
rod width near journal - stock b16-23.5mm new


Rod bearing width- Aftermarket b16- 17mm
rod bearing diameter- Aftermarket b16- 45.5
rod journal diameter- Aftermarket b16- 48.5
rod journal width- Aftermarket b16- 18.5
rod width near journal- Aftermarket b16- 21.5

Did some more research and found i have a TYPE R crank in b16 block. :-)

Car will be assembled soon. I ordered bearings, rings, hytech header, 5.2 final, lsd, traction bars.. **** ton of other stuff. Going to be dynoed asap!!
