1993 Honda prelude JDM h22A vtec front lower ball joints
I have a 93 honda prelude we did a JDM h22 swap on and need to replace my front lower ball joints, rear upper ball joints and rear tie rods before i can get it alligned. I have changed the front upper ball joints and tie rods, are the lower ball joints something that has to be pressed out by a machine? or is it something i can change myself, and if so, any suggestions? Thanks
well we did a full motor and transmission swap on it so we had to rent one of those to separate the lower ball joint so we could put new axles in and stuff, but i wasnt sure if one of those would actually remove the ball joint so it can be replaced or if it was pressed in there, since they arent quite like the uppers, which is easiest to just replace the whole control arm assembly.
yep the manual i have calls for a ball joint remover... I'd check at a local store, or even swing into your local autoshop if u have friends there and ask them what they would do ... just an idea there as well
I followed this tutorial:

The tricky part really is getting the old ones out since you have to drive them out with a socket and hammer.
