LS vs GSR Rear Disc brakes differences
Guys,
I am posting this here because I am considering this swap for my '93 Hatchback.
What are the main differences between GSR and LS rear disc brakes?
I was planning on doing a GSR rear brake swap but I came across a decent deal on rear disc brakes from an LS.
Thanks!

I can' speak for the GSR brakes, but I did the LS conversion with the PV and I like the difference. I also replaced my mastercylinder lately too so now I've got a nice pedal feel (15/16" MC).
I would think that if you're going to feel much of a difference from a brake swap it would be the fronts since that's where most of the power is.

from my knowledge there isnt a difference unless its type r. I got a 94 eg hatch and gsr disc brakes all around with the brake booster and mc stops like a dream
Thanks guys, I already swapped the front brakes with Integra ones (bigger caliper/rotor), but I am looking to upgrade the rear drums to discs.
I was wondering if you knew the difference between GSR vs. LS rear brake setup or if you can confirm fallbacdun's comment that they are probably the same.
Thanks!

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
All the 4 lug rear disks for 88-00 civics or 91-01 integras are the same size. Same pad. Same rotor. The caliper and lines are slightly differently designed for CRXes, DAs, DCs, and EM1s. The calipers are the same size, though. Just the way the line routes is different.
Unless it's a Type R...it ain't a tyte car. err...meaning that the only ones that are different are Type Rs.

well if you already have the rear disc trailing arms...get the ep3 (4 lug) rear calipers, caliper bracket, and rotors. you will see a difference in size and performance. i have that set up on my del sol. lmk if you wanna know more.

Can anyone else vouch for B serious' post about the pads and rotors being the same in the rear?
LS/RS/GSR integras all had the same rear calipers, rotor, and pad. The ONLY integra that had different rear brakes were the Type-R's.

The part numbers are even the same, even across all of the trims B-serious mentioned.
Thanks.
Indeed, 4x100 ep3 rotors and RSX rear calipers bolt right onto any non-Type-R integra rear trailing arm.
You have to swap them left-to-right though as well. And you lose proper function of your ebrake. It will still work, just in some limited capacity from what I understand. May just need adjusting or some mix/match of parts.

With this setup the smaller caliper doesn't completely cover the larger pad, but people have reported no issues with pad wear with this setup (that I've seen).
EP3 rear rotors are 259.9mm An 11" rotor would be 279.4mm That means you would still need to space the EP3/RSX/ITR bracket out an extra 10mm.
IMO it would be better to use the regular integra/civic rear calipers with just the EP3/RSX/ITR rear caliper brackets. This moves the stock caliper further out to match the bigger EP3 rotor. To do this all you need is the caliper brackets and EP3/RSX/ITR rear pads. The reason I say this is because the EP3 caliper has a 34mm caliper piston while the Integra caliper is only 30mm.
I was about to go with Adam's same setup (in his picture). Now we need Mike to come in here and enlighten us on whether or not this new option is even feasible.
It definitely works, a lot of people have used EP3 Rotors and RSX calipers. The only question is the hand brake function as far as I know.
does this work on EG hatch DX too????...please msg me thanks =D
EG DX hatch doesn't have rear discs, so no.
If your DX already has a rear-disc swap, then yes it would work. You can even re-use your stock rear calipers and just get EP3/RSX/ITR caliper brackets, pads and EP3 Rotors. No need to fuss with e-brake problems then.
