Default Have to pump clutch to get into 1st..4th isnt there...

ok...ef hatch..b16a2. I have to pump the clutch to get the car into first gear and have to be at almost a complete stop before it will go in at all. Fourth gear isnt there at all. At a complete stop I put the car in fourth adn let off the clutch. When the clutch was almost all the way out it started to grind. Just wondering where to begin looking for the problem. Thanks in advance for the help.

First gear may be a clutch release issue. 4th is either a bent shift fork or you managed to royally screw up the sleeve and/or sheared the engagement teeth off fourth gear.
