Default 96 accord timing belt change ?s

I'm re-phrasing my original post. Anyone know whether its faster to pull out the f22 in a 96 accord and doing the timing belt change vs changing the belt and water pump while the motor is in the car. The car is my moms, and its been a few months since i've looked at the car. I just want to give my mom a time frame. thanks.

i'm just looking for a simple answer guys. I just want to give my mom an estimated time frame. I don't want to have to rush it.

already looked through it. I know how to change a timing belt, and i know what is involved. I just want to know if it would just be easier to pull the engine to do it or not.

Why bother going through the trouble of removing the motor when it can be done with it in the car?

the whole thing came up when i asked my buddy that works as a mechanic at Honda. And he said, it is a pain in the *** to change the timing belt and water pump on the accords. But he hasn't actually done one on a 96 accord. He recommended that it would be easier for me to pull the motor and do it. I just thought I would get some more responses to see if this may be true.

I would ignore what your buddy has stated.....I have personally seen my mechanic do a F22B2 timing belt from ground to ground in 20 minutes with the motor in the car.

Obviously taking a motor out of a car would give you more room to work with but that is a god awful amount of work to just do a timing belt.

thats pretty quick. the shops locally want to charge my mom $600-$700 for parts and labor. and they said its a 3-4 hr job. but i think i will just go look at the car for her this weekend, and go from there. I'll give it shot on leaving the motor in there. thanks for the responses.
