Default 1991 Accord Speedometer Problem

Where is the speedometer sensor on the 1991 Accord (4 cyl automatic)? My speedometer/odometer has stopped working, but start working again sporadically. It seems like there is a bad electrical connection.

Here you go, man, this is what the problem is. check the link, it'll give you good info on how to locate the sensor. I just replaced the VSS on my 90 EX.
I got the part off of a 95 civic DX. I'm not sure what years are compatible, but if you can find one that's got the right bolt pattern to match up to your tranny, and it's got the three pin connector, you should be in good shape (anybody out there with more specific info, please chime in).

It's definitely worth checking the junk yard for this part. They seem to go out after about 150-200K, so be selective when you go hunting for one. That said, I got mine for $20 from the yard instead of 150 from the dealer.

Side note: There's a lot of good info in the archives that you can search through. Alot of the problems you will encounter have already been discussed in a pretty amazing amount of detail. Good luck!

Alright. How about a 96 H23 Tranny in a 93 Accord.
