1995 Honda Civic LX help
Ok I am new to this site and have to admit im not as car savvy as id like to be, but anyways I have a 1995 Honda Civic LX that struggles getting into gear quite a bit. When I accelerate It take awhile for the engine to switch into the gear and when it finally does it shifts a little roughly. Because It takes so long to shift it makes it really hard to get up big hills which limits my travel. Ive been reading a few things and talking to some family and the shift solenoids were brought up and so was the transmission cable? If you guys could give me any input or ideas on what might be wrong it would be greatly apreciated.
Thanks HT,

The Civic I left in PR had the same issue, It went away after a rebuild of the tranny, Clutches was the issue on mine(I taught it was a clogged converter). While the trans was out I remember changing out fuel pump (walboro )and Filter and rebuilt the engine... Take it to a tranny shop
