Default Energy Susp rear trailing arm bushing, Loose dog bone??

I pushed in the E.S. bushing and the dog bone sits very loose inside of it. Isn't it supposed to be a tight snug fit? It has about 1/4in of room around it and I can push it in and out by hand right now. Thanks!

did you make sure to retain the metal ring from the old bushing? ES bushings use the old bushing ring.

I knew about reusing a metal ring, and I know I didn't discard one, but I also didn't see the metal ring they were talking about. Is it the ring that lines the inside on actual arm or is there supposed to be a ring on the bar?

youre supposed to cut/burn out the old bushing and reuse that casing. just like youre reusing the dogbone.

Okay, so I can only assume the casing we are talking about turned to a cloud of dust because it is nowhere to be seen. I did burn the bushing out, it was already falling apart though. Right now its a clean metal round hole, I've got the bushing pressed in and its tight, very solid fit. So how can I get a visual reference to know what casing I may or may not be missing? I don't see anything different by checking out other rt arms online. When you intalled yours, did the bar have any play or was it a solid fit? Thanks!

the clean metal round hole is the casing.

actually, now im going to guess you have some DA rear disc trailing arms. those trailing arm bushings are bigger than EF bushings. in fact, a EF bushing can fit inside the hollowed out casing of a DA bushing.

you ought to buy the ES bushing for the DA.

No, unless the guy before me put drum brakes on da arms, I still have rear drum brakes. Im so lost on this one, and haven't heard back from es. Can't really move forward until I know if its supposed to have that play in it. The bushing is a tight fit, I had to press it in, the bone is where the play is. I just can't imagine it being that loose.
