I am planning to do a K20a swap and I am looking at brake upgrades. I have stock brakes on my 98 EK HB..4 lug ofc.. I have 15x6.5 +40 offset Rota Slipstreams.. I have read about brake kits not fitting into this setup and I have read of Fastbrakes being recommended quite a bit..but I can't find the thread anymore and I don't know the exact brake model/type..

I'd like to stay 4 lug since I just bought my rims a few days ago..

1. What's the OEM specs for 98 EK HB brakes in terms of rotor size?

2. Suggestions on specific brake brands/models and rotor size and other specs would be appreciated..

is it an ek4 yea? I think willwood do upgraded set ups to suit most fitments and are meant to be very good

 

Do you have rear disc now? Fastbrakes is the best bang for the buck, the cheap kit that uses vw carrado g60 rotors and si/ex calipers.

 

I would take it a step further and get ITR brakes. BrakeExpert has a setup with ITR calipers, Prelude VTEC rotors redrilled to 4x100. I just put those on my EK and now I worry more about more tire traction rather than more braking power.

I have k20r swap as well.

I did ITR front and GSR rear disc brake upgrade in 4x100.

Just order ITR spec rotors for the front and have them re-drilled to 4x100.

 

i would recommend goin itr and 5lug cus wouldnt the axles connect to tranny? ud kinda be forced to 5lug
