WI: '96 White GSR Sedan DB8
Reason for selling: Need a car that I can drive year around. This can be driven year around but its rust free so it feels wrong.
1996 DB8 with 133k and rising. The original B18C1 motor and trans were replaced by a B16A2. The previous owner pulled the b16 with 62k on the motor and trans and put them in this DB8 @ 104k. Now the motor and trans are at 81k and the DB8 chassis is at 133k. Timing belt, cylinder head gasket, intake manifold gasket, exhaust manifold gasket, valve cover gasket, valve cover grommets/seals, cam seals, valve seals, oil pan gasket, waterpump gasket, and main crank seal were done at time of swap. He also did all the bushings in the front end and both axels. All that work has 29k on it. While the trans was out, he had King Motorsports rebuild that too.
Engine: B16A2. Almost all stock. Comes with Hondata s100 but is running on stock b16a2 ecu. AEM Short ram intake + 2.5 inch straight pipe (no cat) hooked up to stock muffler. Passed emissions just fine. Has that catless rasp unfortunately.
Trans: B16A2 with rebuilt syncros by King 29k ago. Skunk2 short shifter and weighted shift ****. 6 puck SPRUNG clutch, I daily it easily on a bum knee. Just a bit stiffer than factory.
Suspension: 500 miles ago, I pulled the tired coilovers out and had King Motorsports install a set of H&R OE springs (.75in drop), Tokico blue shocks, and F&F LCAs + energy bushings. Rides very smooth.
Suffice it to say the motor and suspension are in excellent shape, the motor pulls well.
Interior: 8.5/10.....the leather has no rips but has some signs of wear on the drivers seat. Door panels + dash + center console are mint. Pioneer CD/MP3/USB head unit + Sony Xplod speakers all the way around, they sound great. Sunroof works great. Not missing any interior pieces.
Exterior: The paint isn't the greatest, isn't the worst. Has a spoon(?) replica polyurethane lip. NO RUST. Hasn't even seen salt, it came from Maryland and has been garaged for its 2 Wisconsin winters. Has a well done '98 rear conversion. ROTAS ARE GONE, IT SITS ON BLADES NOW.
Security: I had a Viper 2 Way pager alarm w/keyless entry and remote start installed.
This car needs nothing, it is current and up to date in no maintenance. I have receipts for oil changes every 2900-3300k since owning.
PRICE: $5300 FIRM
Trades: Subaru Legacy or Impreza. I can add up to 2k and I am also open to Subarus + cash.
Photography is not my strong suit so please excuse the sh*tty angles!
