where is the best place to mount the oil temp probe??

Default where is the best place to mount the oil temp probe??

oil temp,not oil pressure,ive read that the oil pan is the best?is that true?i have a remote oil filter,could i tap the housing on the remote mount?or is it better to do the pan?

I am relocating mine to the pan. I think it is best to have it as close to the main/rod bearings as possible so you have an idea of their temperature.
