it is what it is now. **** happens in racing, we can all sit here and speculate.
End of the day it was two top notch guys, putting on a show for the fans. Stop with all the bs **** that is always in these threads. They will both fix their cars and strive to be the fastest/quickest in the world.
Instead of bashing, thank the people that made this great event happen.

"We came to this event with a new/different engine combo and a couple other new things with zero track time for testing. I did a couple different things with the oiling system on this new setup and it clearly didn't work out well. This engine had a factory oil pan on it and under acceleration the oil was sloshing up and away from the pickup and into the catch can from the lines on the back of the block. The result was low oil pressure as it made it's way down the track. The second pass had 35psi oil pressure through third and fourth gear, 3-4 seconds above 9k rpm with 35psi oil pressure isn't good for the bearings."
