Parks, yours was welded from the inside as well, mine wasnt.

The more I think about it, its cheaper for me to just fix it myself and run it, than pay to send it back and wait. Its not like I am getting reimbursed for my time anyway.

Wait, a "bullet-proof" plenum? Can I just have you send me a new plenum and a UPS label and I'll send you this one back for you to dispose of? I'm really trying to avoid a lot more downtime, as I dont get a lot of opportunities to race as it is..

Well it took alot of new fixturing, and special tooling to be made to do this. All Stage 2/3 Plenums will be welded on the inside the plenum now. This should completely cure the cracking plenum issue we have had.

Penetration pictures before the inside is fully welded:

And now for the real fix:

BMC Stepping up to the challenge

Very sorry for anyone who has suffered from one of my earlier manifolds, I am very sorry.
This issue should now cease to exist!

Oh Parks, if you havent already noticed, they leak at the runners as well, ditch the o-rings and weld it up, or have James do it for you when it goes back for improvement.

The only previous welding on the inside was done at the Sideplate to the Baseplate. I have just recently developed the tooling and fixturing required to weld the plenum cap to the sideplates on the inside.

Also I will no longer be doing the modular design (big port) due to the runner leaking issue.
It has proven to be a bit unreliable and I can't have unreliable products out and about.
